Environmental Education workshops

KGMB offers environmental education programs for adults who are interested in learning how to live “green”. Programs range from Adopt-a-Tree and rain gardens to solar electric systems for homes and ways to be water wise.

Every Drop Counts is a public education program designed to educate individuals on the quantity, quality, and availability of our fresh water supply. We offer workshops on rain barrel installation, downspout disconnect, rain garden design, green roofs, and more. The Every Drop Counts education program focuses on the role water plays in all of our lives and how individuals can use water wisely. The classroom component will provide hands on activities and group discussions regarding ‘water ethics’ and social responsibility. Individuals can learn more about the quantity, quality, and avalibility of our fresh water supply by attending one or more of our adult workshops on rain barrel installation, downspout disconnect, rain garden design, green roofs, and more.
