Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful is proud to announce the launch of the 2008 Great American Cleanup, which kicks-off on March 1!

What is the Great American Cleanup?

The Great American Cleanup, a national program of Keep America Beautiful, is a three-month-long community improvement program that mobilizes volunteers in communities throughout southeastern Wisconsin .

With the help of dedicated neighborhoods, organizations, schools, and volunteer groups, the Great American Cleanup works to beautify our local communities by organizing litter clean-ups, park clean-ups, roadway clean-ups, river and lake clean-ups, graffiti removal, and more.

When and Where is the Great American Cleanup?

The 2008 Great American Cleanup runs from March 1st to May 31st. Cleanups will be held throughout this three-month span in locations around Milwaukee , Waukesha , Washington , and Ozaukee Counties . Download our 2008 GAC Newsletter to see where many of this year’s cleanups are taking place: 2008 GAC Newsletter. This year's official Community Cleanup Day is Saturday, April 19th from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., and will be held at Lincoln Park, 1301 W. Hampton Ave.
